Eva Longoria Parker made a surprise appearance at Wendy's for the second year in a row to kick-off their annual
"Father's Day Frosty Weekend" which benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
On June 20th and June 21st,
50-cents from every Frosty sold will go towards the Foundation to support their efforts in increasing adoptions
in North America. Additional funds are being raised through Frostycard.com, where consumers can go online and
send a free celebrity designed e-card to a special father in their life or design one of their own. Celebs who've
designed for the cause: Eva Longoria Parker, Mario Lopez, and Patti LaBelle!

Wendy’s Kicked Off Third Annual Father’s Day Frosty Weekend with Eva Longoria Parker
WHO: EVA LONGORIA PARKER returned to Wendy’s for the second straight year to raise awareness for foster children in
a partnership with the DAVE THOMAS FOUNDATION FOR ADOPTION and WENDY’S.
WHAT: Eva Longoria Parker, television actress and former Wendy’s employee, returned to Wendy’s to help raise
awareness for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which helps thousands of children in the nation’s foster care
system awaiting homes.
Surprising guests, as well as a group of adopted children from greater San Antonio , Eva served up Frosty’s and
brought smiles to the children’s and customers’ faces, all for a great cause.
The event helped kick-off the third annual Father’s Day Frosty Weekend, June 20 and 21, in which participating
Wendy’s stores across the country will donate 50 cents of every Frosty product sold to the Dave Thomas Foundation
for Adoption. The goal is to raise more than 1.7 million dollars for the Foundation.

BACKGROUND: Today there are an estimated 510,000 children in foster care in the U.S. who are waiting for
adoption. The average age of a waiting child in the U.S. is nearly nine years old, and they spend an average of
five years in the foster care system.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA) is a non-profit charity dedicated to increasing the adoptions of
the more than 129,000 children in North America ’s foster care systems ready to be adopted. Created by Wendy’s
founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted as a child, the Foundation leads programs such as Wendy’s Wonderful Kids,
which puts adoption recruiters in all 50 states and Canada to find permanent, loving families for children in the
foster care system.
